Stretching For Success
TruBody Stretch is a one on one Assisted Stretching program performed with one of our Stretching Practitioners. TruBody Stretch consists of contracting and relaxing major muscle groups. PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) increases range of motion, as well as lengths muscles to improve flexibility and performance.
TruSelf Sporting Club’s Stretch Practitioner takes the body through 100 different stretches, targeting all major and minor muscle groups. The stretching routine begins at the hips, moves towards the upper body, and finally finally finishes off stretching the neck muscles with minimal manipulation of the spine. PNF stretching increases range of motion, as well as lengthens muscles to achieve optimal strength.

The stretch practitioner locates trigger points within the muscle tissue that may be causing pain. They then manipulate the tissue by applying pressure to the muscle wile simultaneously stretching the muscle. Assisted myo-fascial release begins with the client lying in a face-down position to target muscles on the back of the body and finishes off with at the practitioner targeting the muscles on the front of the body.
If combined with assisted stretching routine, this routine is done first to improve blood circulation throughout the body to ease the stretching process and prevent injury. The process releases tension from overactive muscles and also helps eliminate pain due to muscle soreness.
Chris Rice is a passionate Stretch Therapist and Massage Therapist from the San Diego area. He has excellent knowledge of Human Anatomy and Physiology. His experience in sports and athletics has propelled his career in bodywork and allows him to connect with specific injuries. His target is to increase range of motion while increasing circulation to help muscles heal faster. Healthy muscles can support joints and alignment, which helps prevent future injuries and alleviate chronic pain.
