Bio:
Zumba and Mat Pilates Instructor Dorian Lopez is originally from Los Angeles, CA. In 2014, Dorian was diagnosed with a genetic back disease called ankylosing spondylitis. This disease attacks the joints and can cause complete paralysis of the spine. Since that day, she began to practice hot yoga and has made a commitment to live a healthy and happy life. She views her diagnosis as a blessing because it is what led her to the beautiful practice of yoga. In an attempt to maximize the mind – body – soul experience, she began practicing Pilates. After discovering her secret combo of strength training and flexibility, Dorian has been able to live a mostly pain free life.
Dorian graduated from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, CA. During her time in law school she received the CALI Award for Excellence, was a semi-finalist in a school-wide Moot Court competition, and was a member of the Trial Advocacy Honors Program where she competed in several mock trial competitions nationwide.
