TruSelf Sporting Club Personal Trainer Josh Martin has lived in Southern California most of his life, spending his childhood in Fullerton, CA. He is the third of four brothers who all grew up participating in sports. In high school, Josh was especially drawn to wrestling. It was wrestling that gave him the experience of being competitive in sport and learning the limits of his strength and athleticism. Josh was hooked and spent six years learning and competing.
After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he gave 5.5 years of service in Active Duty and Reserves. This experience continued to hone Josh’s fitness where he unrelentingly tested his abilities.
Josh’s continued curiosity to discover his maximum strength and potential lead him to the technical sport of power-lifting. His practice of weight lifting makes Josh a great coach for fitness goals of all types. He can instruct beginning exercisers and advanced weightlifters, and is dedicated to helping others discover their own fitness potential.
